As such, Dr. Aoki and Dr. Hart utilize a cohesive framework that blends functional medicine, biological medicine, natural healthcare, and energy medicine to get you back on track and keep you there.
Every person has unique wellness goals, needs and challenges, which means no two treatment plans should ever be the same. That’s why our practitioners sit down with each of our patients to better understand who you are, what you need, and what works for your healing journey.
Dr. Hart and Dr. Aoki will discuss what can be done based on lab work, biofeedback testing and honest communication, and clinical expertise to determine a path that fits your healthcare starting tomorrow, and beyond. And through this very personalized plan we can ensure you’re getting the care you need to live the life you deserve.

Many individuals seeking care for complex chronic symptoms are left with more questions than answers. Conditions such as mold illness, Lyme disease, and long-standing inflammatory patterns are often misunderstood or oversimplified, making it difficult to know where to begin.

Mold illness, often referred to as Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), is a complex, multi-system condition triggered by exposure to mold and other biotoxins. In susceptible individuals, this exposure can lead to ongoing immune activation, inflammation, nervous system dysregulation, and impaired detoxification—resulting in symptoms that affect multiple areas of the body.

Because mold illness does not impact just one organ or pathway, it often goes unrecognized or is mistaken for other conditions. A root-cause approach focuses on identifying how biotoxin exposure is affecting immune regulation, metabolic function, and overall resilience rather than treating symptoms in isolation.

Lyme disease is a vector-borne illness caused by Borrelia bacteria and often complicated by co-infections and immune dysregulation. While some individuals recover with early treatment, others develop persistent, chronic symptoms that affect energy, cognition, joints, mood, and neurological function.
Chronic Lyme-related illness is best understood as a condition that involves ongoing immune stress and nervous system disruption rather than a single active infection. Effective care requires evaluating how the body is responding to the illness, why symptoms persist, and which systems are preventing recovery.

Functional medicine root-cause care is an approach that focuses on identifying why the body has become dysregulated rather than simply managing symptoms. It examines how genetics, environment, lifestyle, infections, toxins, and stress interact to influence health over time.
Rather than applying standardized protocols, root-cause care is personalized and systems-based. The goal is to reduce underlying physiological stress, restore regulation, and support the body’s ability to adapt and heal—especially in cases of complex chronic illness, mold illness, and Lyme disease.

Patient Testimonials
— Laurie Payton —
"For 17 years, I was treated for symptoms only, one at a time, so gradually that I barely noticed that I went from a high-level athlete with a promising future... to barely functional, tired, depressed, and generally unwell. 17 years of pills, fruitless lab tests, and being told it’s “probably in my head – get some exercise!” I can’t thank Dr. Hart enough for restoring my quality of life. My entire family is grateful to him for giving them “me” back. You truly don’t realize how far you’ve come until you start thinking about what your past looked like, and I hope to never be without Dr. Hart."
— Georgia E —
" I had been bedridden for 9 years, Australian Doctors had exhausted all options and was told I had months left to live. I was suffering with Chronic Lyme Disease, Mold illness, Endometriosis, Depression, Anxiety, Migraines, Fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome, among other illnesses. I was essentially disabled and unable to complete simple daily tasks... I am in remission of Lyme Disease and the above illnesses. I am now working, studying at university, created a small business, exercising, driving, and getting to live my life and create a future. Being a patient has been life saving and life changing."
— Taylor S —
"By far one of my favorite doctors that I’ve worked with. And after dealing with chronic illness for over a decade, I’ve worked with quite a lot! He really takes the time to listen to his patients and makes them feel seen and understood. This is huge for people with medical trauma who have gotten used to being dismissed by so many medical providers. I wish I lived closer to him so I could work with him more often! If you have the opportunity... do it. He’s a special healer and a gem in the chaotic world of chronic illness."
